At the beginning of the semesters, we hold a training on library use skills at the ELTE PPK Library. We provide information for lecturers and PHD students on the use of MTMT, Turnitin. Lecturers can request library training for their students on a regular basis and also on individual request.

Zotero or how to manage successfully my sources - Date and sign up
The librarians of ELTE PPK are announcing the workshop and consultation about the basis of how to make a list about literature that you will use for your bibliography in your essay and how to use the bibliography manager software called Zotero. All of our colleagues and students from any department can sign up for the one and a half hour workshop. The workshop will be held in English.
The topics of the workshop are:

Where and how to organize the sources,

In which steps can Zotero help during your research,

How to build our own Zotero database,

How to use Zotero when you edit your text, how it helps to make citation,

Other functions of Zotero (notes, data organization).

Practice with the software.
Requirements to attend the workshop:

Basic knowledge of citation (compulsory bibliographic information, reference style)

Basic knowledge of the search and use of scientific literature (search in data bases) (we are going to deal with these topics only briefly)
The organization and management of scientific sources are useful for writing essays and thesis, or for making projects and portfolios. We are looking forward to meeting those who do not want to begin to work alone, and those who are already working, but have new questions.

HOW TO FIND GOOD SOURCES IN DATABASES
A workshop held every month.
During the workshop
- we are presenting strategies for searching articles, papers, etc., in one word: sources
- we are showing some useful databases for writing thesis in different disciplines
- we are explaining the process to make searching queries and key words
- we provide a supported, personalized testing opportunity in the use of strategies and databases
