The provision of legal deposit copies is regulated by Decree 195/2019. (VIII. 1) which is a Government Decree on the Service, Preservation and Use of Statutory Copies of Publications.

Documents required to provide a legal deposit published on a physical medium or in an electronic subject

• publications in Hungarian and foreign languages produced and published in Hungary
• publications produced abroad and published in Hungary
• publications in Hungarian, produced abroad and marketed in Hungary

In the absence of an agreement with the printing house, the service of the legal deposit copies in accordance with the law shall be borne by the customer. More information can be found on the National Széchényi Library's Legal Deposit Service page (only hungarian language).
