Year-end library information

The library will be open until 03th July - the end of the spring semester of 2026. Until the date the reading room  and our books are available as usual, as well as other services of the library. During the summer break, the library's reading rooms and rental rooms will be closed.

The library's online resources, however, are available without interruption 24 hours a day. 

Our online resources only work in the university IP range. The access to full texts in databases subscribed to by ELTE can be accessed remotely by our students with a IIG (caesar) ID, and by our lecturers with a VPN and an ELTE IIG ID

Information for students who take the major's final exam

Students taking the final exam in the spring semester of 2026 had to return the borrowed books to the library by 12th of June 2026 at the latest. If this has not happened yet, please do so!

Information for students who do not take the major's final exam in this semester

Borrowed books must be returned by 03th July 2026.

If you want books for your dissertation topic or other work for the summer, you can borrow the compiled literature material from the library during the last opening week. Please, send us your book requests via email, and we are going to prepare them for you. You could collect them, when you arrive.

The planned opening of the library will be at 10:00 on 07th of September 2026, in accordance with the order of the 2026/27 school year.
